"Many, many thanks for a wonderful evening. I have had nothing but positive feedback from my clients and friends regarding the evening, and in particular, your show. You kept your word about being utterly professional and tasteful while being hysterically funny - just what I was looking for. Many people have commented that they would like to hire you for their own corporate events."

Looking for a hypnotist?

Looking for a hypnotist?

If you choose to seek out a hypnotist to help you make changes in your life, here is what I tell my clients:

Do your best to confirm that he/she has had formal training, a certificate, a diploma, word of mouth from someone you know/trust who has worked with the hypnotist is good; remember you will be discussing some personal information with your hypnotist so ask questions make sure they are answered to your satisfaction, if you are not familiar with the words or terms used have them explained so you do.

I work on the rule of 3, here they are;

1) Your first appointment you will be a little apprehensive, cautious even, and the level of hypnosis will be very light (hypnodel) because you want to hear and make sure you are getting good information, that sounds and feels right (Trust your instincts, if at any time you don't feel comfortable or safe LEAVE);

2) If however you feel that this person is competent and can help you, then book a second appointment, this means that you and your hypnotist are building a level of report that is paramount for success, your second session you will very likely go into a deeper more relaxed comfortable state of hypnosis. You will still hear everything being said, and;

3) By the third session you will be going into the state known as hypnosis (concentrated focus) quickly and deeply where you may or may not remember every word said, you will most likely drift in and out of this state and should be noticing some changes for the challenge you came for. Sometimes this can take more than three visits but you ought to be experiencing a positive noticeable difference in some area of your life, maybe your energy levels are higher, maybe you feel more relaxed all the time, maybe you sleep better, notice a positive change in your mood? I do not mean, "You think maybe there's a difference", I mean there is some difference, If not it doesn't mean the hypnotist is a fraud, it says to me that the level of understanding or rapport could not or was not fully developed between hypnotist and client.

It is never the clients' fault:

You as the client need to know this, if you are not entering hypnosis, and are told it's because you are resisting or some other excuse is used, then maybe it's time to leave as it's the job of the hypnotist to know why you are not getting there and to make sure that you are comfortable and understand the entire process (in language you understand) if you are resisting it's because something is bothering you, hypnosis feels great! Once you're there you'll understand completely. Remember depth may not be achieved in the first session.
